We acknowledge the lived experience as a valid form of evidence and we believe that local experts (i.e., community members) are instrumental in community improvement. The foundation of our community indicators are built in partnership with community.

We are committed to conducting relevant research and producing actionable reports, interactive dashboards, and using data as a guide toward impactful solutions that move the needle.
Independence
As a non-partisan research non-profit, we are not swayed by the political climate. We conduct extensive research and follow the facts to present solutions that confront complex challenges. Our methods are transparent and grounded in best practice.
Research Equity
We examine our own back-grounds and biases. We believe that disparities persists where inequities exists. We disaggregate the data and illuminating disparities while developing evidence-based strategies to address them. We embrace our role in ensuring research benefits communities and engage communities as partners in research and give them credit.
