AskSSI is our community request system. You can submit data questions or requests and get connected to the right person to guide you to the answer. Please be specific and detailed about your request, including the geographic area of interest.

FAQs

  • Our research spans all of our seven indicator areas (Civic Health, Cultural Vitality, Economy, Education, Natural Environment, Public Health, and Social Environment). We engage in fundamental and applied research to gain insights, develop innovative approaches, and contribute to advancing knowledge for community impact. We do not create self-reports.

  • Indicators selection is a blend between subject matter experts and local experts. Both groups support the identification of the indicators that best measure how the community is fairing within each goal area.

  • Individuals and organizations can request up to three 45 minute technical assistance sessions provided at no cost. Use the AskSSI submission form to start a conversation about data support, technical assistance, or capacity building.

  • Use the AskSSI submission form to request a data presentation. Please include a brief description of the event, including the time, date, and location associated with your request, and indicate what data point or topic you are interested in learning more about.

  • As a non-profit organization, our funding primarily comes from various sources, such as government grants and philanthropic foundations. We also collaborate with other institutions and seek funding through collaborative projects.

  • We publish our research findings in reputable open-source academic journals and conferences when appropriate. We believe in sharing knowledge and contributing to the scientific community.   • You can stay informed about our data, research findings, publications, and news through multiple channels. We regularly update our website with relevant information. Additionally, you can subscribe to our newsletter, follow our social media accounts, and attend our seminars and conferences.
