Our research spans all of our seven indicator areas (Civic Health, Cultural Vitality, Economy, Education, Natural Environment, Public Health, and Social Environment). We engage in fundamental and applied research to gain insights, develop innovative approaches, and contribute to advancing knowledge for community impact. We do not create self-reports.

Indicators selection is a blend between subject matter experts and local experts. Both groups support the identification of the indicators that best measure how the community is fairing within each goal area.

As a non-profit organization, our funding primarily comes from various sources, such as government grants and philanthropic foundations. We also collaborate with other institutions and seek funding through collaborative projects.

We publish our research findings in reputable open-source academic journals and conferences when appropriate. We believe in sharing knowledge and contributing to the scientific community.
